The Studio

Polyphonic Recording was a welcoming, peaceful, creative space in the heart of Stroud, Gloucestershire, among a thriving creative community. It's been a beautiful space to work, equipped with the finest microphones, instruments and outboard equipment, and run with care and attention to detail, Polyphonic caters for most recording needs, whether full band, strings, vocals, overdubs, or voice-overs.

Currently in the process of relocating to Perth, Western Australia, Lukas still works with a mobile recording rig so is available for sessions wherever he is needed!
In the meantime, find him working at Sundown Studios in Fremantle.

“A peaceful and relaxing space is the best environment in which to make music.”

After many years working as a session musician in other people’s studios, something I observed is how a lot of professional recording studios can be quite intimidating environments for new musicians.
This doesn’t make for the best space to perform. Playing music can be a vulnerable experience, and it helps to feel encouraged, listened to, and understood. I’ve learnt from my experience through the years that the most important part of a recording project is the performance itself; not the tech or the virtuosity, although they play a big role in capturing the sound at its best. If the equipment is great but the performer feels uncomfortable, then we miss the point.
